WELCOME TO OUR FORTY-EIGHTH SEASON

Welcome to the 2012-13 Season of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra.  I'm thrilled to be celebrating my fifth season as Music Director.    As the RSO reaches its 48th birthday this year, we open our classical season in September with Dvorak's cheerful 8th Symphony.   Pianist Richard Dowling performs Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2.   December brings a night of operatic favorites with world-renowned lyric soprano, Yunah Lee and tenor, William Joyner.  16-year old emerging violinist, Chad Hoopes, performs Lalo's Symphonie espagnole at the Latin-inspired April concert.

We offer a lighter 2-concert subscription for lovers of John Williams movie scores and Big Band music in October and February.  In March the RSO debuts an exciting family/education concert which features Yvonne Caruthers of the National Symphony Orchestra and showcases the many connections between math and music.

It's a season to celebrate, and we are privileged to share the gift of music with you.
