"...its
dramatic depth and variety of moods was well handled, but the
rousing Finale and intensely beautiful Adagio were especially
fine."
- Courtenay Caublé
Ridgefield Press
"Maestro
Rothstein led the orchestra to a near-perfect performance of
Schumann's 'Symphony No. 2.' ... the performance glowed. All
in all, it was a performance to treasure"
-Jim Pegolotti

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra continues to outdo itself year
after year! The exuberant audiences and committed professional
orchestra members become more unified each year as the depth and
variety of the music grows. Our sold-out performances with
extraordinary reviews provide personal musical pleasures while
broadening the musical experience of the community. Our two venues,
the refurbished Anne S. Richardson Auditorium and the intimate
Ridgefield Playhouse, provide a diverse setting.
RSO Maestro Sidney
Rothstein leads the orchestra to glorious and brilliant performances
to treasure. As Music Director, he chooses programs that span the
spectrum of symphonic music - from the lush and romantic to grand
and classic. Each concert brings an inspirational and deeply moving
experience.
Our newly formed Youth
Orchestra attests to our commitment to expand our quality offerings
for the youth of the community. With our Family Concert, Youth
Competition and Special Concerts for Ridgefield Schools we bring the
appreciation of classical music to a growing number of youth in our
area.
